Hi! My name is Sander Poppe (1984), born in Middelburg, in the Netherlands. Now and days I live with my wife and son in the Alblasserwaard, nearby the famous Kinderdijk mills.
The virus of landscape photography take me when I was diagnosed as a diabetic Type 1 patient. It was for me an escape to empty my many thoughs. Besides going out weekly to take landscape photos, I also liked to give workshops, lectures and I wrote a number of books. And with this hobby, it is always nice to discover new areas. Through the years we love to visited United Kingdom. There are days, when we dream of moving to Scotland or England. The coaslines are so magnificant there…
Unfortunately, partly due to my diabetes, my health continued to deteriorate. Chronic, neurological pain unfortunately keeps me busy every day. This is one of the reasons that I no longer give workshops and lectures, and I no longer (can) go out weekly.
But I don’t give up. The sea is always calling. Born in Zeeland it is no no wonder that I love to visit coastlines. It looks like if the sea flows through my veins. So, when it is possible, we drive to lovely places. I can shoot ther with my Fujifilm camera, Leofoto tripod and a good cup of coffee wonderful landscape photos.
